Harmonium Concerts
The advance ticket price is $30 for regular and $25 for student or teacher and ends at 11:59 pm on the night before
concert weekend, after which time tickets can be purchased at the door via cash, credit card, or check.
Prices for tickets sold on the day of the concert are: $40 regular and $35 for student or teacher.

Harmonium Choral Society is dedicated to ensuring that all of our patrons are able to enjoy the arts equally. If you have accessibility needs, questions, or concerns, please contact us two weeks prior to the performance you wish to attend, and we will assist you in the best manner we have available.
Please take note that each concert is professionally taped live for video and audio reproduction; therefore we do not allow audience video taping via cell phones or allow pets (other than service dogs) into our performances. In addition, the venues that we perform at only allow service dogs. If you want to attend a concert with your service dog, please call us in advance.

Our December concerts are at the Morristown Presbyterian Church. Handicap parking is in the small parking lot in the back of the building on E. Park Place. There is a ramp into the building and a bit of a walk to the sanctuary where the concert takes place. Please call in advance to reserve one of the limited parking spaces. If you are being dropped off in the front of the building, there are only 3 steps and the walk to the sanctuary is much shorter. The restrooms are accessible but located in the rear of the building and require some walking to get there.
Our May concerts are at the Grace Episcopal Church in Madison on the corner of Rt.124 and Kings Rd. There is plenty of parking in the back lot and the entrance from the parking lot is accessible, as is the sanctuary where the concert will be.
There are handicap parking spaces available in the church parking lot.
The restrooms in the church are ADA compliant and close to the seating area. There are also wheelchair designated spaces from which to watch the performance.
Our March and June concerts are at the United Methodist Church. An accessible entrance is on the east side of the building, and no stairs are needed to enter. There are handicap parking spaces available in the church parking lot. Please reach out to our staff if you want us to reserve one of those handicapped spaces.

Violins of Hope
Wharton Arts proudly presents A Concert for Peace with Violins of Hope, a poignant tribute to resilience and the power of music. Led by Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Helen H. Cha-Pyo, this special concert showcases the extraordinary Violins of Hope, precious stringed instruments that survived the Holocaust. These instruments, some of which were played by prisoners of ghettos and death camps, have been meticulously restored by Israeli luthiers Amnon and Avshi Weinstein. Today, they serve as symbols of survival and perseverance, bringing hope to audiences worldwide. Join us for an unforgettable weekend of remembrance, reflection, and renewal at A Concert for Peace with Violins of Hope as we commemorate the resilience of the human spirit and honor the legacy of those who perished in the Holocaust. Diane Saez and Suzzette Ortiz have worked together joyfully for years sharing their love of Latin American music at ACDA conventions, colleges, high schools and community events. Great for teachers, singer and conductors. Don't miss this opportunity to join with them in New Jersey! The workshop offers 3 hours of professional development credits for New Jersey teachers.

Spring Workshop

Harmonium Choral Society presents a musicianship workshop: Singing Words, an Afternoon with Mark Miller for music students, singers, composers, and teachers alike on Wednesday, April 17th from 4:30-6pm. Learn how a composer interacts with the words of a poem. There will be lots of singing, insights from Mark, and time for questions. Preregistration is required.
The event will be held at the Bethel Church, 59 Spring St, Morristown, NJ. There is ample off-street parking on Bishop Nazery Way (across from the church).
Co-sponsored by New Jersey ACDA, the workshop offers 1.5 hours of professional development credits for New Jersey teachers. Pre-registration is required, especially if you will need a certificate for the credits.
The suggested donation for the workshop is $20 and $5 for students.

Beer Choir
Welcome to the first Beer Choir on the East Coast!
Beer Choir is a national singing movement founded by composer Michael Engelhardt in 2015. If you like beer, and you like singing, you’ll love Beer Choir. All are welcome to join in with the Beer Choir Hymnal, a songbook of 40 drinking song classics, original works, and favorite melodies updated with irreverent lyrics. This isn’t like your traditional choir - if you show up the night of a Beer Choir event, you ARE the choir! There will be non alcoholic drinks available.
No singing experienced required, just come and sing, drink, and laugh together!

For accessible entry to the church, park on Baker Street, the side of the church where there is a wheelchair ramp and it says Church Office over the door. Right after you enter the building there is an elevator on the right, take that to the second floor to enter the sanctuary where the concert will be performed. The main sanctuary entrance is at the front of the building and has stairs to the entry, but once inside, there are no stairs. There are no restrooms on the same floor as the the sanctuary, they are all on the ground floor accessible via the elevator or stairwell. There is ample parking in the rear of the building in the lot.
There will be an outdoor reception after the concert, weather permitting.

Harold Rosenbaum will share insights, tips, and demonstrations for conductors and choral singers based on 50 years in the field. Recognized among the premier current interpreters of choral music, critically acclaimed conductor Harold Rosenbaum is the award-winning founder and conductor of distinguished professional choir The New York Virtuoso Singers and celebrated volunteer choir The Canticum Novum Singers. Rosenbaum brings a profound wealth of technical ability and expertise to the creation of rich musical experiences. Rosenbaum is the author of A Practical Guide to Choral Conducting.

COVID Guidelines for Harmonium Performances
All Harmonium singers are vaccinated and will remain masked during performances. Masks are optional during the performance. The COVID landscape and CDC guidelines change often, so we will update you here when our COVID performance protocols change.
